23^rd World Youth Day (2008)

“You will receive power when Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses” (Acts 1: 8)

The Pontifical Council for Laity is inviting representatives from each country, international movement, association and communities to evaluate the WYD in Cologne 2005 and to initiate the pastoral and logistic planning of WYD in Sydney 2008. Representatives of the German and Australian organizing committees will be present. This meeting will be held at Instituto Madonna del Carmine, Rome from 7 April to 9 April. Youth Section of the Dicastery is preparing towards the meeting. Manoj and Margareta from the International Team will attend this meeting.

Holy Father has chosen the themes for the next three World Youth Days in order to foster a spiritual itinerary that will culminate with the International WYD scheduled for 15-20 July 2008 in Sydney.
