Text Box: Kenya YCS National Rally brings together thousands of YCS members 24 June 2006: The Annual National Rally brought over three thousand students from various dioceses of Kenya. It was held in Nairobi on the theme of the next World Council 'Dialogue, Learn, Live: Students Make a Difference'. The various speakers focused on issues related to the theme including Behavioural change towards fighting HIV/AIDS and role of students and improving self esteem. The mass was celebrated followed by the fund raising event which raised around a million shillings from the students gathered. The funds raised goes to the national activities, programs and visits organised by the National team. There were also representatives from Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia. Manoj Mathew from IYCS and Sylvia Andrianasolo from the Pan African Team was also present to witness the mass gathering. The students were all excited and happy in their coloured uniforms accompanied by their patrons-chaplains, animators and former YCSers. Cheers to National Team of 2005-2007 for hosting such a big event. The celebration ended with various music and dance presentation. The next National Rally will be held on 23rd June 2007. You are most welcome to participate in one of the biggest gathering in East Africa organised by the Kenyan movement.
