CAMPAIGNS & ACTIONS

The focus of our global campaign Fight Poverty - Build Peace for 2013-2015 is to give young people a voice in the Post 2015 agenda about what replaces the Millennium Development Goals.

Our first big step is for every YCS member and friend is to take the MY World survey. It's one question and gets your voice heard by global leaders.  But hurry we only have a couple of weeks to be heard
When you vote remember the 4 focus areas identified by IYCS:

  • Poverty and Education
  • Poverty and Peace/Conflict Resolution
  • Poverty and the Environment
  • Poverty and Good Governance

We especially encourage you to mention Peace and Conflict Resolution in your vote as it is not one of the categories currently listed.  We need to big push to bring this to the centre of the Post-2015 Agenda.

VOTE NOW in MY World survey to make sure Global Leaders hear from you! Join as part of the IYCS campaign to make YOUR voice heard about what should replace the MDGs! CLICK HERE TO VOTE

Global Campaign: What is Campaign?
Campaigning is choosing a specific course of action, on the basis of available information and resources, which will be most effective in achieving identified objectives. It is organized to achieve a change. Campaigning is about mobilizations, advocacy and lobbying.
IYCS campaign is to help and to involve students in the actions in order to respond to their own realities and those of their world. “Fight poverty – Build Peace” is a call to students all over the world to actively engage in their local communities, to take action on issues that are limiting development and going against human rights. It is also a call for society to recognize the concerns of students and to support them in their struggles.
